A guy I knew was also staying at the Glendale CA hotel I was.
He bragged about hanging out with a 1% club while bar hopping.
...
One night, they gave him a courtesy escort to make sure he got home safely.

Next day, the hotel security guard saw the van pull up, four big guys get out, cut the chain and load up his electraglide, and drive off, before the guard even got out the door to try to read the plate on the van.

He should have both avoided them and used a ricer cover like OP noted.

Putting a Honda sticker on a enclosed trailer,
is probably a better idea than a Harley sticker...

Don't forget to keep your eyes open. I was waiting in front of a resturaunt for bike night to start and keeping an eye on the bikes in the parking lot. A woman was checking out a bike almost 75 yds away . I started walking her way and as I got close she walked away, right into an old van. The side door opened and there was 5 gang banger types in it. There was also 2 steel pipes by the door - handy for carrying a bike. They left as I got to the van. I saved someone's Sporty that day. After that, I started parking on the sidewalk so I could keep an eye on my bike ...
