Boom Audio Install

The dealership didnt mention that I needed the relay kit for the install and of course they dont have one in stock.

Cant I go to Advance and use any 4 prong relay?

What purpose does splicing into the orange/white wire serve?

Can I skip that step?

orange/white is the accessory power wire. this is used as a switched wire sometimes as a amp turn on wire.

How often does a guy get this lucky?

I took the headlight nacell apart first. Staring at me was a harness with a red, orange/wht, black wire.

Looks like the PO had a boom audio system and just cut the wires and tucked everything in the nacell when he removed it from the bike. All the wiring that goes under the tank to the battery is in place. All I have to do is splice into whats already there. That cuts the install time in half!

There is a orange/wht wire in the nacell that looks like it is wired into a fused plug for a GPS. Is that orange/wht for anything else, if not Im going to remove the accessory plug and tape it off. There is alot of wire under there and I would like to remove anything unneeded.

I already removed a bunch of wire for heated clothing from under the seat, that helped alot.

All finished and buttoned back up. The windshield mount speakers look great and the system seems to work well.

The instructions left a lot to be desired as usual.

The only think I didnt like about the kit is the wiring harness is premade and there limited options on how wires can be run/hidden.

The misses loves it and thats what is important to me.
