I know you said a day trip, but if you get as far as Marble Falls and Llano, try and make it a weekend trip. There are some great roads to ride all in that Texas Hill Country. It's a beautiful area. And you got to make it to Lukenbach before you come back. Very cool place.

True , so true ! Northeast Texas piney woods & smooth 2-lane black top country roads , no traffic to speak of . Set her on 35-45 cruise and enjoy the scenery . Miles & miles of smiles over there !

Great riding if you head north. Lots of creative ways to get to Montague and Cook county area. We like to go to Muenster (great food at Doc's). Head north on the road Doc's is on past big wind turbines. From there you can head up the cap rock to Saint Jo. (good food there on the square, but we prefer Doc's) going back down the cap rock off the square to Caps Corner, over the bridge to Oklahoma or from Caps Corner to Nocona lake area. They call this area north of Saint Jo and Muenster the other hill country.

Take 20 out to Weaatherford and get off in Weatherford and take 80 through town and travel on out to Mineral Wells Once in Mineral Wells, you head North to Graford. (I can't remember the Hwy, I think it's 39 or something like that) Great roads out there. When you get to Graford, I believe you head west out to Graham. The signs will point you the way. Awesome scenery out there.

Appreciate all the responses. On the cap rock trip what roads are we talking about? I have been to a lot of the places mentioned in my truck. I love Lukenbach and the hill country but have not been there on the scooter yet.
Keep em coming. I am going to print these all out and plot some routes.
Thanks again guys

Ride into Oklahoma on 79 to Atoka then east to Talihena. Ride the Talimena Byway into Arkansas. Eat Lunch in Mena, then come back through DeQueen, Broken Bow, and Paris. That would be a great day ride!
