My New Ride--2013 RGC

Just picked it up Saturday afternoon. Wow! What a ride! Loved my Fat Bob but wanted something more suitable for long trips and I believe I found just the ticket. Amazing how well balanced and easy to handle at very slow speeds this bike is.

I never had saddlebags, or a sound system, or crash bars, or a windshield (if you can call the stock one a windshield), or footboards, or a heel shifter. Only got in about 30 miles yesterday as the temp was dropping and the light fading. But in 30 miles I am spoiled already.

In the Spring I will be regularly visiting, for a few days at a time, areas of NC. Never been there before but from what I find there is a lot of great riding in that area and MapQuest shows most areas I want to see/ride are only 5-7 hours from my house. Perfect!

She is Big Blue Pearl. I sweated bullets wondering what colors would be available for 2013--loved the BBP that was available for 2012 on a RGC. But...., I went back and forth between the BBP and Candy Orange. Both are beautiful and I could be very happy with either but the BBP won out. And BBP really pops in the sunlight!

Congrats, I bought a 2012 RGC in September same color and I love it.

I'm still looking for a windshield for mine. Installed a clear 19" but hate it, need something slightly shorter even though I can see over it.

Anything close and I get a "bifocal" type effect, but it does make the radio easier to hear and keeps the rain and bugs off.

Gonna try a "wind splitter" next they look a lot better anyway.

If you think you might want to try a clear 19" screen, I bet by January I'll know where you can get a used one cheap
