HID's

What's up HD Forums. I just bought a 2013 Street Glide. I've always installed HID's in all my vehicles. They're great! What are everyone's thoughts on installing them on Harleys? I'm pretty sure it'd look pretty good. If you have pic's, post them. Thanks! Ride safe.

I do outdoor lighting for a living so I'm all about lighting.
However on my Road King classic I prefer the "yellow" halogen stock lighting.
If it were not a Classic HID kits are neat.
There are high kelvin (white-bluish) BULBS available for cars where you dont need the $ HID ballasts. There has to be something similar for HD.

I was looking at this HID set up. Heard good things about it from a couple guys on another forumn. I d like to have a little more feed back before i buy though.

Had a friend that bought a couple of those cheapy ebay HID kits for his bike. He said the light output was great while they worked, but there was always something going wrong with them. He rode 60 miles each way to work at night and got tired of getting stranded with no headlight, so he went back to the stock headlight with a quality bulb in it.

I tried the aftermarket HID in my 03 bagger,,had no problems with the light itself, but picked up A BUNCH of radio interference from the ballast no matter where in the fairing I mounted it, (I moved it 3 different times) I finally took it off and went with the Trucklite LED headlamp (the same one they mfg for Kuryakyn), excellent visibility/light.

Check out DDMTuning. I had there stuff in a car and I loved it. A guy at work liked mine so much, he put them in his Victory. His only complaint was going from High to Low or vice versa there was a period with little to no light. He rewired it so the low beam was on all the time and loves it now. I will be installing a set after the holidays on my Road King.

I have an aftermarket Adjure diamond cut headlight and a xeon bulb with kinda whiteish light. Its shines pretty good. I guess ill stick with that.
