FYI.....this "rumor" has been circulating since 1999, and the release of the TC engine.

I meant to say I would like to see that motorcycle " road glide" with that motor. I seem the VROD. I couldn't care any less about that bike. I like real Harley's meaning classic stuff. Not that modern model crap

I know.
What you'll see, (Operative word being "If") if it comes to that, (Water cooled) is the V-Rod driveline being incorporated into the old style bike design that everyone loves.
Or at least I hope it would be that way.

To each his own.
Air heads are nice and simple to maintain and work on, especially pre-FI ones.
But from my experience, liquid cooled fuel injected motors require much less frequent maintenance, have smoother HP and torque, are more reliable, don't overheat in stop and go traffic, get better fuel economy, and start better in cold weather.
Does that make them better? I don't know. Of the seven bikes I own, three are liquid cooled and fuel injected. And I've owned them for many years. I've had no leaks, and no maintenance or repair work needed on any of the cooling systems.
The V-Rod engine is one sweet motor. Personally I would have no problem with a V-Rod drivetrain in a RG frame. It would be like putting both my Harleys (Tour Glide and V-Rod) together. I could think of worse things.

Mentioned it to one of the mechanics at my dealer about it to see if he'd heard anything.
His remark was "you know more about it than I do". He then went on to speculate that they'd work on the oil cooling and possibly reworking head design to temper the valve guides along with other things (or something like that he lost me fairly quick) with the oil before jumping into "liquid cooled" engines although oil is a liquid.
It's one of those things, we'll know it when we see it, or read the press release from MoCo.
I've had liquid cooled motorcycles before, never had a problem with them and it's just one more fluid to check or change.
