stolen vrod
To all who can help. My 2002 Vrsca was stolen wednesday night/thursday morning(oct 7/8 2009) sometime in Dayton, OH. Someone backed into my gargage door and then took my bike. Its silver and the VIN is 1HD1HAZ122K806961 If anyone knows anything please help. I am sick as hell over this....Brock
Also i had the "V" led taillight, SE pipes(no baffles), clock and thermometer on the switch housing, 200mm rear tire, Kuryakyn swingwing pegs, HD saddle bags, bigger grips and white face gauge with blue led's. Thanks again for any and all help.
One more thing, i also posted this on the general forum. i have pics there if anyone would like to see.

Hope you have insurance , I think even your home owners insurance might cover this . Also ... hate to say this man but by now it's a good bet your bike is in pieces . If some pros grabbed it that's probably the case but if the dimwit/s is a dimwit/s they'll be driving it around and will get busted and you'll get your bike back in one piece . Good luck !

No. Registered vehicles are insurable on a separate policy, and Home Owners would only cover a vehicle, in a circumstance like if your tree in your yard dropped a limb on your friend's car parked in your driveway, in a liabilty/damage type situation or event.
If it was YOUR tree, and YOUR car....then it's under YOUR car insurance, and not your homeowners. The home owners insurance will only cover the garage door and related damages, theft of non-motor vehicles from the home, less a deductable.
If you didn't have theft coverage on the bike, IE: Comprehensive, it's a loss.
I hope it works out. Thieves suck.

This may be a stupid question, but was your bike's fork locked? My ins.co. said if I didn't lock mine when not in use that they wouldn't pay on a claim for theft...

Oh, man, that's brutal. You mean this thief took it from your garage? Backed up and put it on a truck and drove away? Looks like you were monitored by the thief for more than a few days to find out your routine, when you were home, etc., etc., For the most part a V-Rod is not an easy bike to hide - not all that many around. The thief is not from your direct neighborhood or even your normal area as it would be too easy to spot. He's from an outlying area who may come to town from time to time or even from another town. Like SCHMIDTYS said it don't look good - too easy for law enforcement to stop V-Rods - if you get your bike back it will be a fluke now.
Sorry to say that man. I worry about the same thing myself as I'm sure all bike owners do.
