07 VRod

My buddy just stopped by with his new '07. This is a guy who swore he would never own a Harely. He is into performance based bikes for speed and handling. This is no exaggeration - when he hops on his sport bike - EVERYTIME - he will bury the speedo at 184; the RPM keeps climbing.

Anyway, I have been bitching at him for years to get a bike he will travel on and when I told him I purchased a Fat Boy (a week ago) he purchased his '07 VRod. He likes it thus far. I rode it for a few miles and was pleased as well. I just wish Harley would migrate the Revolution motor to their other models. I know it is different than what everyone is used to, but change is a good thing in this instance. Keep the classic Harley looks, just develop the engineering to modern technology and this motor meets that need.

You got yourself a fancy bike there, lad. Had the same happen to a dude this spring in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada just after I purchased my 09 V-Rod DX and my wife a 09 Sporty. Like your friend this guy, friend of my wife's brother, spent an entire meal riding me over my Harley not being a real Harley and he'd never get a Harley as he had a Jap bike - long story short he ended up buying a Harley touring bike from my dealer and is now one of those sudden Harley guys - I think it had something to do with images with of angles in his toast riding Harleys or some other religious experiences brought on by an over abundance of alcohol or other illegal substances.

Ha, funny. I drove it , I don't ride on the back of any bike. What you do in your spare time is your business.
