Headlight visor installation & light adjustment

In order to prevent a glare from the headlight with my new windshield I a going to install a new visor. In order to do that dismantling of the headlight mount is necessary as is readjusting the headlight.

Does anyone have any sage wisdom to share before I begin?

As I'm tightening headlight adjustments down, I stop while it can still be forced to move, drive it out into the street, with the bike running so voltage is up, and sitting on it so the front end's elevation is right, then I reach out and adjust the headlight for a happy average between best hi and best lo beam, based on how it looks on the road, not on how it looks on the wall. Then tighten everything the rest of the way down.
