New to HD

How ya' all are? I am new the HD bikes. I have always road sport bikes. and now that i am married with kids. I would like to get back into riding. I always wanted a HD but the funds was not there,,, now with some age and a better job,,, spring should be the time i can get my 1st HD. What I would like to ask is how do you all like the V Rod? how does it ride on long trips? how is the reliability? and what kind of bike would I expect to get for around $10 ~ $ 12 grand?

Welcome you luckydog,

As the proud owner of a VROD I can tell you you wont be sorry if you get one. Highly reliable and a blast to ride. I've been on a 2300 mile trip with mine with as much comfort as anyone else.

You can get a like new two or three year old bike for that price.

welcome! Bought an 06 D model and loved it. When the wife wanted to upgrade her sporty, traded it for an 08 VRSCAWA anniversary model. Now have 2 Vrods and not regretting it a bit. Ultra reliable and at the top of performance. I put 6000mi a year on the 06 in this country of constant rain and snow. No worries.
