Sundowner

I swapped out the stock seat with the Harley Sundowner seat. I thought I would have to give up looks for comfort but I think it looks far better than stock. I havent even sat on it yet. I like to save up all the jobs for the winter time (heated garage) and am done with all of them except I lost my new spacers for the new rim and now have to wait 6 to 10 days for new ones.

The stock seat

This is the new sundowner

Here is my front rim and brand new Metz. It only took one little square to balance.

Yep. Sundowner front with stock pillion, that's how I did it.
The Sundowner rear section might be nice if anybody was going to use it.
Otherwise it's ugly and unnecessary.

How much wider than the stock seat does the sundowner feel to you Ed?

Lil my baby is dangling on the lift awaiting the new spacers so I haven't sat on that sucker yet. It doesnt appear much wider if at all. Perhaps Nathan can comment.

I like it VERY much.

The added support I feel from the bigger seat is some from the extra width,
but there is a substantial ammount or lower back support, and that back support
seems to somehow share the overall support task, in a way that the extra width alone
would not.
