Choices, oh what to do...?

So I have this 09 sporty 1200 custom and I'm trading up already.

The VRSC line is what has honestly caught my eye since I've been lookin at HD in the first place but I was swayed by the wisdom of the fellow riders in my area to start on a sportster. A smart choice I agree but I honestly feel it's time for me to move on and I want a model that's gonna last me a while.

So it's a toss up between the VRSCAW or the muscle. I can't see myself on a night rod so I'm trying to make the choice before the end of the month when I drop the final decision.

Any suggestions?

Talking

Since you're asking I'll give you my two cents (and you'd be overpaying at that)

I had the exact same thoughts about a new HD and the same advice from friends that ride. I liked the VRSC for all the reasons most others do and I didn't want to buy a bike that I want to trade up from shortly after (same as you). :

I pondered for months about my choice and in the end it came down to a decision...was it for me alone (Vrod Muscle or Fat Boy) or was it for me and whichever one of my wife or kids would brave getting on the back and going for a cruise, enjoying the tunes and some one on one time with the old boy (touring bike)

I went with the EG Classic and absolutely love my bike! The ride is awesome, the look is awesome and I'm embarrassed by how often i just look at it in the garage.

Anyway...probably more input than you were looking for but if any of this story relates to your selection thoughts then it was maybe worth your 2 min read. Good luck with your choice and ride safe!

Well the good news is you really cant make a bad decision. I am partial to the vrsc line being an owner for a couple of years now. The huge amount of power is easily controlled and only comes into play if you want it to. It's a very easy bike to handle as well due to a low center of gravity. Good luck. Here's a pic of mine

I'm biased towards the Night Rods...If I had to choose between an AW or an F.... I'd go F, for the SE heads, inverted forks, and the stock wheels.

The rest is cosmetic, and can be changed.

Punisher... go with the heart for it rarely disappoints, but if you're looking for a nudge off the fence I'd lean towards the Muscle... a new model, sweet appearance and refinements. But this is me.

Ride them both if you can

I recently had the opportunity to ride both and they sit quite different.
the Muscle is more upright and perhaps the handlebars run farther back.

AND it just looks cooler !!!
