black widow exhaust

Do they make a big difference or not? I don't mean to start a thread on all the best sounding exhaust but just wondering if this is a much better upgrade than screaming eagle. I heard the screaming eagle isn't too much of a difference. Thanks folks!

SE makes a little diff, I think the more that I hear them the more that I am liking them on a bigtwin not a sporty, get on youtube and look see what you like what I do, I love RH on bigtwin but I have samson on mine and they sound good as well. I think V&H sound the best on sports but these are just my opinions on exhaust more what you like, and the type of bike you have and what not, youtube is your friend and a good place to start looking for exhaust

I think the V-Mod pipes are the best sounding for the Revo engine.
CFR is my second choice for the Revo.
This is my 03.

That sounds nice at idle. I wish you would have reved it a bit to show how that might sound.

Steve that owns V-Mod was one of the first to start modifying the stock mufflers, this is where the name V-Modded pipes comes from.Over on 1130cc.com there is a HowTo section w great instructions on how to modify your own.You will need to have the ECM remapped, especially on the already lean running 08 you have.
I use the SERT on a dyno.

The idle sounds great on the older 1130 engines,it's much smoother on the 1250's because there is a 6 degree difference in the intake cams. They are the same cams that came in the 05 and 06 SE's.
Harley introduced a new set of stage 2 cams this year that adds 10% power and they idle real sweat w great performance from 5 grand to red line.

Here's my 07 X 1250 w quiet modded stock mufflers and stock cams,also the 03 w some revving.
Your 08 will sound like my 07.

and btw,it's not noise coming from my pipes,it's a great sound!

so if I added a set of slip ons with baffles in them do I still have to remap the bike? I am new to the Harleys and know that I didnt have to remap with a slip on for my 600RR. Also found a set of Tab performance slip ons for cheap, has anyone heard them before?
