Dyna/Sportster wheels

Anyone know if there is any way to tell what year these rims are ?

Got a lead on the rims and the seller doesn't know what year of bike the rims are off of. He said they're a 3/4" bearing...

Wanting to swap out both rims from a 2007 1200c with tubeless/spokeless like these Dyna wheels. Chromed,new beariings+new rubber.

80's to 1999. Those look like 3/4" tapered bearings. If used the hub shoulders are smaller where the rotor rides on them so only the bolts will center the rotor. I think they make an adaptor ring to use the newer rotors on older rims.

So they'll work on the 07-1200c but with rotor adaptors ? JP or someone like that will/should carry them ?...We'll do some more hunting.

Personally Craig, I'd look for 2000-2007 wheels to avoid having to get inner spacers too. (Between the bearings) The spacers for the tapered bearings are different. As well the newer castings are nicer with more polished edges. Plus the newer wheels will alleviate you having to buy adaptors and be a direct bolt on with no bullshiit.

Yeah, o.k. I'll tell my bud to keep searching. As long as he knows that the Dyna wheels will fit his bike, he'll be happy AND know what to look for...

He just wants to get rid of them stock 1200c wheels. I think the stock Dyna cast wheels "chromed" would look good on his bike.That's what he wants....

I sent a set of those off my Dyna to the scrap yard. Nobody wants them, or very few people. (Older Tapered bearing 1988-1998 cast 9 spoke wheels)
