Just to help tie up the loose ends of this thread for those in the future who may be reading this, I jumpered the 4 pin connector under the front fairing and got my Code 16, which I will ignore. I also left that 4 pin connector under the seat unplugged but I still wouldn't mind hearing what that is, if someone knows. I sprayed TB cleaner into the top hole inside the throttle body, but since I couldn't get the rubber velocity stack off the throttle body I had a bad angle at the two holes and a lot of the cleaner went down inside the engine. I ended up cold starting it (lots of cranking!) to burn off the cleaner, and ran it around the block a couple times after it warmed up just to make sure I put everything back together correctly. Only time will tell if the rough idle returns.

Would you believe me if I told you that plug goes to the muffler valve actuator?
(I'm not kidding)

edit: It just occurred to me that if that is not plugged in, the feature needs to be turned off in the ECM (it is turned off in the Race ECM), or you will get a CEL (code 21, I think).

That is kinda what i thought. I have the Race ECM. When I jumped for codes I did not get a code for the actuator, so the ECM must be tricked into thinking it works.
