Owner’s/Service Manual

Hey everyone!
I finally got my first bike, it’s a 2000 Dyna Wide Glide. I was wondering if anyone knew where the best place to get an owner’s/service manual would be? I want to familiarize myself with the bike as much as possible

Dealerships carry them and do a search online. Amazon and the like.. I think the Service manual runs around $200 new from H.D. Probably cheaper on line. Do not waste your money on the Clymer or Haynes type. They will lead you down the rabbit hole when you least expect it. The info in them is general, unlike the H.D. Service manual. The owners manuals are not specific. But mostly legalized warning labels IMO.

For that vintage also check on craigs list ... Got mine for pennies on the dollar.

How about a WTB in our own classifieds?

Thank you that’s a huge help, that really narrows down what I should be searching for

The HD factory service manuals actually have a part number. There's a thread around here somewhere that lists a bunch of the manual's part numbers.

If you use the HD SIP site, you can actually find the manuals there as well, but you can only use it online. You just go through the location and language stuff until you get in, then you put your VIN number in the search bar and it will pull up all service manuals, bulletins and instruction sheets for various parts.

You can also search for specific instruction sheets, like say, if you needed the instruction sheet for a Screamin Eagle air cleaner kit.

I found most of my manuals at motorcycle swap meets.
