Starter dropping out

My 2008 Electra glide standard has an intermitten starting issue. Sometimes when i go to start my bike after it is at running temperature the starter seems to want to drop out before it started. It never does this when the engine is cold.

Still on the original starter? Pretty good run on a 11 year old starter.

Might want to get a starter rebuild kit to replace the plunger and the solenoid contacts and give it a good cleaning while you're in there.

Sounds like the starter clutch is just shy of being gone.
