2018 FXBB Upgrade Problems
Just got my 2018 Street Bob. I just installed the Vance & Hines Short Shots Staggered with the Super Q Baffles, the HD Screamin' Eagle high-flow air filter and the Vance & Hines Fuelpak FP3. I went through the process to tune the bike. Everything seemed to go as planned. The next day, I rode the bike. At the start-up, the idle varied between 850 and 1300 rpms. I went out for a 10 minute ride. As I would slow down, the bike was idling aroung 2400. When I came to a complete stop, the idle dropped to 1900.
Next day, I started the AutoTune and rode for about 90 minutes. When I completed the ride, I updated the map. Still was having issues.
Called Vance and Hines, they uploaded my map, modified it and I downloaded the new map. When I started the bike, things seemed to be better.
Today I rode my bike around. As I pulled up to a store, the idle was around 2500. As I was riding home, the "check engine" light came on. This concerns me. I got home and parked the bike. After the bike cooled down, I started it up. The "check engine" light was still on.
At this point, do I take the bike to the Harley shop for them to diagnose the problem? I live in California where there are regulations on pipes. Do I contact Vance and Hines and have them help me with the fuel management system? The bike has 500 miles on it. ANY suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
