Riding and Allergies

Just curious here,
how many of you suffer from spring/summer allergies and how do you deal with them?

I have severe allergies to most trees, grass and pollen. I take a lot of medicine to try to get relief. It can really put a damper on a beautiful day.

I actually found that a full face helmet helps keep that crap out of my eyes, but otherwise its drops and benedryl aside from my prescription meds at night.

I have suffered since I was a child Hay Fever it starts 2nd week of May and lasts all summer until the pollen season is over , I have the normal meds from the doctor also have prescription eye drops .
For a few years now I start on 1st February I have a tea spoon of local produced honey each morning which the bees have collected the pollen from the flowers grown in my area I take this until the start of May then stop .
It is supposed to help with alleges and bulid up your immune system and I can vouch for that my hay fever isn't as severe like it used to be

I would suggest for you to do the same next hay fever season

I have heard the same thing about local honey....
The only thing is, honey makes me puke. I HATE the taste

Something similar that I just started, a sublingual type of immunotherapy called Allergena.
They have different zones for the US, you order your zone and its a makeup of all the types of allergens in that specific zone. You take 15 drops 3 times a day.... I'm only on day 3 so I couldn't say if it works or not.

What type of eyedrops are you on? My dr had me on pazeo but i couldn't afford that stuff!!!
I was using OTC zatidor, but recently switched to opcon-a for allergies.
