WOLO Bad Boy Air Horn... about 50 bucks

 

Check E-Bay, there is a guy on there that sells a horn similar to a Wolo but it is 143db. Mucho Loudo. I put one on my bike and it is awesome.

Spend the money for a mini beast. A little more but well worth it.

 

I'd be up for a better one that fits behind the cow bell maintaining the stock look...

 

read in another thread that a guy had one that sounds like gun shots and people quickly got out of the way....

 

"Freeway Blaster" from Carquest ! Fits the stock cover and has a good deep Harley sound, not that tinny Plymouth Roadrunner "beep-beep" !

Yeah, they have high note and low note models. I like the low note ones, good loud deep Harley sound.

 

Good Pro tip ! I did install the FIAMM low tone and it does fit well under the cow bell. IT IS fuggin loud !...:laugh..

Only one little problem ( if you're anal)...The wire connections are on the top of the horn, as opposed to, on the bottom like the oem horn so, At a certain angle you can see the wires just below the tank and above the cover.

When I get some spare time, I'll see if I can seperate the horn from the cone and spin it 180 deg.

 

I got the Stebel from Dennis Kirk for about $50 each with shipping, one for each bike. I am very happy with them. I think they are around 138-140 dB.

 

The only problem with low frequency is that it is harder to tell what direction the sound is coming from. And since the the point of blowing your horn is to get someone to look at you that is not a "Good Thing."

 

It seems that that one is sold out and all the others that look exactly like it are $225.00

I've never taken the original horn off. Are most of these horns mentioned so far just fit in the same spot as the original? Or does it depend on which model?

I'd like to change out my tinny sounding horn too but I don't want to go through a lot of work or wiring to do it at this point. Laziness, I guess.

 

FYI, swapping out the horn was super easy and took about 20 minutes...

 

I have the Bad Boy horn with the crome cover - looks great. I never understood why HD builds these beautiful bikes and has a horn that sounds like a '73 Gremlin?

The Wolo Bad Boy really makes some noise.
