need help with 2001 Road King

Need help please 2001 Road King with efi (I know it sucks but the bike was set up awesome, thought it would be an easy fix to change out efi) Bought this last year and its had some problems but runs great. Ran it two months ago while it was stored in my garage which is dry and it started right up and ran great. Went to start it two days ago and it started right up but the throttle will not turn. Can't accelerate the engine. Took the throttle handle housing apart and it looks fine, took the cables off. Grabbed them with pliers and no movement. Took the air cleaner off and everything looks fine. No clue desperately need help. haven't been working due to illness and money is tight so any advice or insight would be great. Haven't been catching any breaks altely.

Take the cables off at the throttle body and check to see if theyre froze up. If they are, you may be able to free them up with some lube but chances are youll need some new cables. Also check to make sure the throttle body isnt binding in any way.

Sounds silly, but check the throttle cable cams on the throttle body for acorns (or other foreign objects) jammed in there. Lil' critters can do strange things in garages.

I ride like an old guy that wants to get older.

Agreed. Take the throttle handle apart then remove the air cleaner and back plate to gain access to the cables from both ends. Rotate the throttle plate by hand to verify that it's not bound up then try moving the cables from both ends. If you can get the cables to move it would be a good time to dribble some cable lube thru them from the top until the lube runs thru to the bottom.
ALSO verify the throttle friction lock on the bottom of the throttle grip is loosened.
