New to Forums and New to Riding

Hey, I'm Rick, 42 from Alabama.

For the past...almost 2 years, I've been thinking about learning to ride a motorcycle. Finally this past September, I got the endorsement on my license. In the state of Alabama, all you need to do is pass the written test. I was not about to just go buy a bike without going through some kind of training or safety course. I saw online that Harley Davidson provided such a course and I took it this past month and passed easily. We trained on a H-D Street 500. It seemed like a very nice bike for beginners and I was able to handle it as well as anyone that's a beginner. I'm not saying I was perfect during the on-the-course trials. So I enjoyed using this bike so much that I bought a 2019 H-D Street 750 only 3 days after passing the beginner's course. I'm really looking forward to getting on the road and practicing more.

Welcome from Virginia! Great decision, can't beat the 2 wheel therapy.

Welcome from San Antonio Texas. Respect the bike and it will respect you. Sit down and get to know your bike. Read the manual. Pretend you're the ball carrier and all the four, ten or eighteen wheelers are trying to tackle you. Get to the end zone safe. Stay safe Brother.
