what is wrong with my oil temperature dip stick??

I just noticed this today.

There is oil all inside of the gauge.

The chrome cover that fits over the rubber grommet is on crooked or lop sided and I cant get it to straighten out by pushing on it.

Is there anyway to fix this get it straight and the oil out of the gauge?

In case I have to buy a new oil temp dip stick, I was looking on ebay and want to make sure I get the right one. The dip stick measures 3.125 inches from the bottom of the rubber

Pick up one from J & P, I had one I got from there for nearly eight years and was still going strong when I sold the bike.
