2008 Sporty 1200C Pulley Cover

I removed the stock head pipes and installed new exhaust gaskets cuz I am getting new pipes. Anyhow I removed the oem crossover peice for the exhaust and after I put the pulley cover back on it rubs up against I think the outside of the drive belt. When I remove the cover there is no rubbing so what did I do wrong ? Am I missing washers ? I saved all the parts i removed. Any advice appreciated. Thanks

Try rolling the wheel backwards and see if the belt tracks back closer to the engine and stops rubbing.

I ride like an old guy that wants to get older.

I figured it out. There is a washer that goes in there on the bottom bolt for the cover which is the shorter bolt. The washer goes inside flat up against where the bolt threads in. It can be held in place with grease. I lost one night of sleep over a simple thing. Thank you for your reply.
