Useful upgrades

Thinking of pulling the trigger on a new ultra limited. Was wondering what upgrades I should think about getting?

If you can afford it.
Get them all.
Better to get them now instead of later

Yea I wish I could afford that, Im thinking of exhaust, cams, air cleaner, maybe some taller bars, and the wife wants arm rests, and some speakers in the bag lids (when not hauling the wife I dont plan on having the trunk on.

CVO is the way to go. Sure it costs more but if anything happens, insurance-wise or resale, the base price of the bike is higher. If you add all the stuff on that the CVO has, it is all sunk costs. Just look at one and see what you would add and see what the cvo offers. Sure, exhaust and bars would still need modified maybe.... I could be wrong. But going stage 2 would be pretty pricey. the 117 already has decent cams and air cleaner.

Taking the tour pack off makes a Huge difference I know for a fact.
10 inch bars will help also.
Arm rest .
The motor you have is enough.

The Stage 2 from a base bike is several different parts/kits. Head over to the HD website and you can price them all out. Don't forget those prices don't include installation.

If you are negotiating with a dealer on the bike this is a good time to talk about it.

How does your wife like the overall comfort? Ive sat on a few but havent test rode one yet, planning on that this weekend or next. From just sitting on one I can tell its a bit more cramped than the Vision, the seat feels like it will be more comfortable, but only a long ride will confirm that
