Started life as a full dressed road sofa. When I found and bought her, She was badly neglected and had broken plastic also burnt stator wires. Repaired the wiring, got her running, Then stripped her neked.
1983 Honda GL1100 I (Wineberry)
The engine is bone stock except for the MAC headers and the 2001 Dyna LowRider mufflers. Runs like a scaulded dog.
Had to remove the fairing (major crack) and the badly damaged bags. Also all for the bent and rusted Markland junk. In all I took off 700lbs of crap.
Rebuilt the forks and added 4" preload slugs The air system would not hold presure. No air suspension on the rear either. After much trial and error finally found a good set of 1200 Sporty shocks 11.5" long and built a lowering kit to drop it an additional 3". Then added the Corbin seat for a 24" seat height.
