What tuner do you have?
06 Electra glide backfiring on acceleration/ loss of power at 3k
I recently installed a screaming eagle stage III kit into my 06 Electra glide. Everything runs great at idle but as soon as the bike is under power it bogs down and back fires on easy acceleration. This occurs in any gear and from what I can tell at around 3k. If I hammer the throttle through 3k it runs fine. I replaced the TPS sensor, new plugs, new coil since it started.

doesn't have a tuner on it....down loaded the program from a pc down loaded into the ecm.What tuner do you have?
OP installed a stage 3 in his Glide in his garage by hisself ? I'm not amazed that it isn't working as planned ! Waiting to see what the OP does to resolve this situation !

If you downloaded a map from a pc there must be some type of tuning software that allows you to do this.
In addition to the software, check for hardware issues such as intake or exhaust leaks.

I'm thinking he did not do a full Stage III.
But did d/l and install the Stage III map.

replaced cams, larger pistons, rollers, cylinders, springs etc. We used a programmer to download the map into the ECM (dyno jet power vision)
Also changed the air intake and turned into a true dual exhaust (cobra) with Vance and Hines slip-ons

That rules out this.....sorta.
