Orange with the white stripe is a fused 12v accy. power wire . You need to find the accy. connector usually located in front of the battery box and has a rubber plug in it . There's another 12v power wire , grey connector but that is always hot .
Orange is also hot but not on the accy. fuse .
Power wires are orange and orange/white , ground wires are black and black/green .

You have an '06 , you might be looking at the data link connector to the ECM .
Test the orange wire voltage , ignition on then off . If no power to the orange with ignition off then it's usable for a controlled power supply .
You need to locate the accy. power plug tho . Same kind of connector with the rubber plug in it . Orange / white is Accy. .

NO ... You need #3 switched accy. hot . Pin 1 is always hot even with the ignition off , the battery will go dead that way .

..Come to think of it the accy. connector location on an '06 RK is probably inside the left side cover ahead of the saddlebag . It was either '06 or '07 that the accy. plug location changed from the battery box location to the left side cover .
.. If you're installing a fairing and have the nacelle off you can use the O/W HDI wire for power too . That's the unused O/W and BLK wires that are taped to the headlamp harness . That would be less wiring to run rather than going all the way back to the battery box location or side cover .
