Harley-Davidson's New 121ci CVO Engine Has VVT - Motorcycle.com
Another new image of Harley-Davidson's 2023 CVO Road Glide reveals more secrets, such as variable valve timing (VVT) and a new transmission.
VVT had pretty impressive results for Honda when they added it to the cars. I was working at a Honda shop back then, and after attending the tech talk on the new valve train, we were impressed. Certainly took HD long enough to get there, but nothing wrong with a broader torque curve and better high end hp.I saw the VVT Story last night, standing by for Real World Results.
You mean you don't wanna pay to be a beta tester?!Thats cool.Im not selling my M8 107 just so I can be the coolest kid on the block. Im done being a rocket sled test monkey. Let em work the bugs out for about a year- you know they'll have something.Hell, the Shovelhead is still a work in progress.
No sir. Im still waiting to be paid for test monkey deployment on the new shovel. HD is slow paying. You mean you don't wanna pay to be a beta tester?!
And potentially better fuel mileage/efficiency, depending on how you program it.VVT had pretty impressive results for Honda when they added it to the cars. I hear ya. I'm not remotely close to being part of the buying group for anything like that. I may sell the Sportster soon and then keep my eye out for an older EVO Fat BoyThats cool.Im not selling my M8 107 just so I can be the coolest kid on the block. That is going to be one very expensive option. $6,000+HD also got a patent approved for a sliding supercharger https://image-ppubs.uspto.gov/dirsearch-public/print/downloadPdf/10907534
Still would be cheaper than a Stage IV build if you count installation costs. Probably talking a couple hours to install a Supercharger + ECM programming. That is going to be one very expensive option. $6,000+
