I saw the VVT Story last night, standing by for Real World Results.
VVT had pretty impressive results for Honda when they added it to the cars. I was working at a Honda shop back then, and after attending the tech talk on the new valve train, we were impressed. Certainly took HD long enough to get there, but nothing wrong with a broader torque curve and better high end hp.

Thats cool.Im not selling my M8 107 just so I can be the coolest kid on the block. Im done being a rocket sled test monkey. Let em work the bugs out for about a year- you know they'll have something.Hell, the Shovelhead is still a work in progress.
You mean you don't wanna pay to be a beta tester?!

And potentially better fuel mileage/efficiency, depending on how you program it.

Now I wonder if having VVT will mean that this 121" might also have "ride modes" like the Pan America.

I mean, I personally don't care about ride modes, would be a nice feature that I might use if it was there, but it's nothing I have to have or would be willing to pay extra for. I'd probably leave it in "sport mode" all the time and only use like "economy" mode for long distance highway cruising.

I hear ya. I'm not remotely close to being part of the buying group for anything like that. I may sell the Sportster soon and then keep my eye out for an older EVO Fat Boy

That is going to be one very expensive option. $6,000+
Still would be cheaper than a Stage IV build if you count installation costs. Probably talking a couple hours to install a Supercharger + ECM programming.

If it comes as a factory option, probably talking $2 - 3K
