I have a replica of a 47 knuck, if I leave the petcock on, fuel will overflow out of the carb, as though the float or needle are not working, but the local harley shop says its normal. I don't buy it. Any thoughts?

I think your dealer is a moron.

Either the needle is sricking or held open with dirt, or the float is bad, or the float level is incorrect.

What do you mean REPLICA?

It is a replica, not an original Harley, my uncle had a 47 when he was young and wanted to build one like he had. The engine is from V-twin, tranny and frame is from TTC(?), its a company that sells replica kits. He had a Harley dealer assemble it. Everything on it is exactely like the original, down to the cloth wiring. He spent around $35K building it. It was built in 2007.

How's the leak coming along regarding oil?

Replica motor shouldn't leak. Chain oiler might be open too wide.
