I got my 1990 FHLTCU with 14,000 miles on it. I know have 20,000 & saw weeping oil at bottom of rear cylinder, so got her apart & cleaning every thing. Looking at the cylinder walls look good no scratching, but did seam like there are spots the piston did not contact. No rub marks on piston. Is this normal & so I leave it or would honing be advised before putting her back together. Also is there a tolerance that the front connecting rod should move side to side. Thanks for the help

Just going by my old hot rod days, but if you have gone to the trouble of removing the jugs, I would hone the cylinder walls and install a fresh set of rings.
