Most likely the snap ring on the clutch. But that's a guess without pictures.

How big is the one for the clutch bc this one is super small. I can't take any pictures because my camera is messed up. I was thinking something to do with my shifter assembly. Without my shifter rod being threw the primary cover how much wiggle room does it have or is it suppose to have any?

Doesn't sound like a clutch snap ring, if it's small.
Here's a link to a Ronnies, they will show the expanded parts views for your bike. Just enter the correct year and model. Hope you have a laptop or desktop computer to view it with. Can be done with a cell phone but....

Seems the OP is in dire need of the FSM...
I have yet to find where these manuals can be ordered online.
The only way i know of to find a "new" one is from the dealership.
I get it, that they are available used from online resale but, ya gotta know exactly what p/n book for your year / model.

Without the FSM manual, a knowledgeable local motorcycle repair shop is the only other option.

IF, memory serves. Sticky around here with FSM part #'s.
Was pretty inclusive at the time of it's posting.
Not sure. But direct contact with MoCo Customer Service may yield results. I believe they are printed to order. Wait time may be considerable.

If nothing has changed recently with the MoCo's contract with their printed publications partner / contractor the manuals will be available to the public until 2040 (?). Only printed manuals, no digital to the public.
The Harley dealerships receive digital manuals thru the Harley intranet system, not public. The manuals are part of the MoCo's special tools program that all H-D dealerships are obligated to be enrolled in.
