I need to drop the front tire and get full access to the forks on my 1999 dyna. Its a little different than the bagger i also own but I am guessing its very similar.

It looks as if I just need to remove the calipers from each side and then remove the bolt on the right side of the bike at the bottom of the forks and take off the nut on the left and then tap out the axle. (Please correct me or add anything im missing)

Also on the bagger there were spacers which aligned the tire for me. It looks as if there is only a spacer on the left side and nothing on the right so would i need an alignment or does the wheel align when reinstalled?

Thank you all. I appreciate the help

Sounds like you've got it right. Jack the front up so the bike doesn't fall down when the tire is off !
If the speedo is cable the drive acts as the spacer on that side.
