my sporty has 26,600miles...as far as I know the carb has never been rebuilt or jetted...my problem is most of the time it hic-cups when I twist the throttle from a stop. also I have to keep the "Rs" above 2000 for it to run smoothe. would you recommend just getting an aftermarket carb or having the original rebuilt? thank you.

Rebuild or clean and rejet the CV, they're good carbs. At the least install a new #45 (883) or #48 (1200) pilot jet.

thank you schmidtys...i'm thinking of sending it out to a professional rebuilder ...they guarantee their work (hopefully)
