they have a couple of dnas where i am looking..bad thing..stock pipes..no noise......the softail fat boy,,,,not sure if i like them..
Wait another month or two. Even in Phoenix, there is a season for best buys. If the Blue book is only 6200, is that low book, average retail or loan value? 10000 is a might high. Look around might be worth a trip out of state for a lot better deal.
l did not see how much i could bargin, not going to buy now. ..i decided to wait until tax season, just before bike week in arizona...i will not buy a bike with spokes, thats why i like the 2007 dna
...i will not buy a bike with spokes,
Just curious why?

Spoked wheels are a pain to clean and if you get a puncture you're stranded. No slow deflation. No aerosol get-you-home fixes. No slimes to prevent them in the first place. Makes me mad that over here you can't get Dynas with alloys. Oh- and my chrome rims are flaking round the spoke holes.

As for the 2007 FXDL, check that the fenders are not going rusty underneath. They didn't paint them for some years. Also check that connections to/from the ECU are clean and been greased. Those two issues cost me $2500 on my 2008. Back of my mind there's something about bearings in the transmission but can't remember if that was fixed by 2007.

I wouldn't worry about the exhaust. Stock system probably means the previous owner hasn't messed with it too much and maybe didn't thrash the pants off it. If you insist on making more noise then you can also choose the exact system you want without feeling you're throwing away somehint of value.

As for Dyna v Fat Boy, you need to decide what you want it for. The Dyma is quicker, more nimble and can do anything you want. The Fat Boy has more street-cred, more "presence" and is a good deal heavier. The high pipes preclude many luggage options if you're that way inclined.

That is not the time to get a good deal here in Phoenix. The perfect riding weather and everyone is ready to get a new ride for Bike Week.... = $$$$.... November is also a bad time if you are going to a Multi-Line dealer because everyone is buying new toys for Glamis and the thanksgiving vacation trip. Last day of the month is a good time to go in and hammer them for a deal.

AND If you do get a 06-11 Dyna with stock exhaust, i have some excellent condition Vance and Hines Big Shots that i will be taking off my 09' this weekend!
Tell them what blue book list then offer a one time cash only deal of $6500.00 Show em the cash .......give them 15-30 seconds to make up their mind . If no deal let them see you put that six thousand five hundred dollars back in your pocket , turn around & walk away ! Cash always makes em nervous & weak-knee'd ! Don't accept a counter offer .
But do go to your bank & have the cash/line of credit on hand before you walk into the lion's den .
Oh , and its the LOW RIDER you want buy !
