Ok I'm completely new to Harleys and just recently bought a 2011 1200 sportster custom and I'm wanting to change from the 16 inch wheels that come stock to something bigger...having a hard time finding Info on how big of a wheel I can run front and back without any real modification...any info would be appreciated. Thanks

The stock wheels are either 19 or 21 front, and 16 rear. You can p-ut a 21 on the front , but you may have to raise the fender. The rear m16 is about the limit.

OP states he desires bigger wheels. Wider or taller ? I'm pretty sure the 16" is as wide as permitted on that model Sportster. Also not sure that taller wheels are available either. BUT with a hammer, torch and welder almost anything is possible.
