2014 FLHTK - Been checking Threads...

1912 Views 15 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  JTJ
Good day,
I am getting ready for my 5k maint for my 2014 Limited.
I have been checking the threads here and the HD site for Service bulletins, etc..

Except for the early clutch issue and the recent brake line routing issue, I have not run across anything.

Is there anything else?
Anyone having FLHTK issues that are not a listed SB but maybe should be?
Anyone had any issues I may want to have them ck while it is in??

Just wanted to see if the group has any opinions they care to share.
Thanks in advance, Jeff

Boom Box firmware update. But it's bug ridden, so don't let them do it.

Real grey area.

According to a post of that thread, http://www.harley-davidsonforums.com/forums/3008201-post21.html, the update has been pulled and is not currently available.
Just to play it safe I would check your Infotainment center before signing off on the service and leaving the Dealership. Just to make sure.
A recall was issued on the 8th for Clutch Master Cylinder.
Wasn't there some coolant leak issues with the very earliest ones?

Do you have any additional information? The recall website just says to call the dealer, doesn't even say what it's for.

Yup,
I saw the threads about the audio update. My local serv Mgr says that those updates are not free...
I was planning to pass on it for awhile..
Speaking of... Anyone else being charged for that or are you getting them for free??
Go here and plug in your VIN. It will list all active SBs.

Been lucky with the showerhead.
Bought her right after xmas and have had no issues.
Though writng it is as dangerous as saying it out loud...

I did that and it only listed the brake line. That is why I was posting to the forum.
I am very interested to hear more about the clutch notice issued on the 8th mentioned by kcdcltd
I just called the dealership because the MOCO website says there's a recall but not all the information has been loaded. It says "Contact your Service Center". So, I called them and there is another recall but the full details aren't out yet. Mine's in for warranty work and they'll just keep it until the recall info is fully baked. They did state, however, that it was related to the clutch master cylinder.
Started separate thread this morning re Sept. 8 recall on clutch master cylinder...
