I recently picked up a 2009 FLTRSE3 and I love the bike but the suspension sucks compared to my vrods. The rear shocks are an easy fix but the biggest issue seems to be the flex in the front forks. I understand that this issue was addressed with stiffer forks/triple trees on 2014 touring models. Can anyone tell me if the new 2014 front end can be easily bolted up to a 2009?

That should be newer design frame improvements with 09 I believe. Have you checked with your dealer or good Indy Shop?

Take a trip over to new guy section and introduce your self. Ride Safe.

It's the same frame, so the steering head is almost certainly the same.

The bigger issue you are going to have is all the brackets that mount your fender, brake calipers, etc. I don't know that you could swap everything over.

FWIW, installing stiffer, better performing springs in the existing tubes goes a long way. I did it to my 2011, and it's a different bike altogether. It doesn't fully address the flex, but it adds a LOT of stability to the front end.
