2015 Street Bob Custom Exhaust

I'm sorry to start yet another exhaust thread but I have a friend who just brought home a 2015 Street Bob and wants a custom exhaust look without spending too much money. What he wants is to end up with something similar to V&H Short Shots but wrapped. Any ideas what he could do with his stock exhaust to make this work? Of course he still needs baffles, won't pass MA inspection without them. Plus he doesn't want to have to remap his ECU or add fuel management. He is keeping the stock intake for now.

I suggested getting cheap used slip ons, removing the baffles and cutting them shorter, then replacing the baffles. Do you think this would work?

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Thanks all,

Cheap slip ons is the only choice. Stock mufflers have CATS in them, and you can't modify the baffles. Ask me how I know......

I think the cheapest route is Cycle Shacks but not sure. I put V&H slash cuts on my SuperGlide. It is completely stock mechanically and it sounds OK. Do have a bit of pop on decal that I have just lived with. May do something about it in the spring.
