2018 Road King 8,000 miles.

Good evening, very intermittently the oil pressure warning lamp comes on. Comes on at idle when parking. Engine makes no unusual noise. Recent service, oil level good and in good condition. Long ride or short, no apparent pattern.
Any ideas?

Need to have a pressure gauge put on to diagnose if the problem is with the oil pressure switch or the oil pump.

May want to install the 2020 up oil pump anyway. It produces more oil pressure and has increased scavenging from the early M8 oil pumps.

Thanks for the info. Agree on testing the oil pressure. Thought I would start here. I had no idea there are so many updates to the oiling system. I was a tech for 45 years working on GM vehicles. What I found frustrating was all the updates that came after "the latest & greatest" was released to the public. So, here I go again....
