I keep busting the push rod tube seals on the back piston. Its a 73ci bored .02 over, solid lifters, external lines. I use SAE 50. Tried switching to rubber seals and same thing keeps happening. Any Ideas?

Oil is too thick when it's cold, resulting in high pressure. Try a 20-50 of your choice.

I would try new springs in the push rod tube. If original, they could have lost tension.
