I got an 83 Sportster 1000 new twintec ignition new coil rebuild carburetor new plugs new wires I can only get it to run on one cylinder got Spark to both cylinders front cylinder will not fire

Check compression. Just pull the plugs out and put your thumb over the plug holes, compression should force your thumb off the holes. Any difference from front to rear cylinders ?

And also when it's idling every once in a while it'll backfire out of the front cylinder

Is the Twintec and coil single fire or dual ?

It could be stuck valves, Ironheads are notorious for carboned up guides pinching the valve stems. More noticeable with a warm engine than when cold.

I'm leaning to thestuck valves when I had the carburetor off I can see the intake moving up and down but I will check the air intake leak
