883xl n 2015 iron

Excuse my ignorance but I have a 883 xln 2015 iron. I'm Looking from the exhaust side of the bike and want to replace pistons. I have measured up the valve recess and both pistons are identical? Which way do the arrows point or which way should the pustons be fitted. Checked the manual but it says nothing for this model? Frustrated. Thx in advance

This may be a stupid question but I am re building my engine. Bought a complete gasket kit. On looking the cylinder head gaskets have a slight v shape to them. Now I'm presuming they can go either way up and its a compression thing but am I right??
And do you guys use gasket sealer with these new gaskets. I think its not needed.

The gaskets can fit either way with no sealer. Install the pistons with the arrows pointing towards the front of your bike.
