I've had 1992 year HD's and no torx anywhere. The speedo knob may be metric allen. possibly even phillips? Also,reset knobs had a habit of falling out, so a previous owner may have been generous with llocktite or wallowed out the head.

 

That screw should be Phillips head. I always used a jewelers screwdriver set on those. An eyeglasses hinge screw driver might be small enough too.

 

Yes, Thank you. It is a Philips head. Purchased a small enough long enough screwdriver and it came right out. None of my precision screwdrivers that were narrow enough were long enough.
