I have a 97 sportster 883 and I have a problem with it starting. Today I tried to start it and it clicked then I lost power to everything. A few seconds later power returned and I was able to fire it up and ride to work. After work I tried to start it again and the same thing happened. It made a click sound then lost power. It was about 2 minutes later that power returned and I was able to fire it up and ride home. At home I turned it off and back on again to see if it would lose power again and it did. I dont know what could be wrong with it. Battery and ignition switch were both new last year. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Zach

Yes thank you that was it! As soon as I took the seat off and tried starting the bike I could see the positive terminal arcing. I was able to tighten the bolt back up and it seems to be working.
