I stop for fuel mainly from just the work commute and runnin around town. I make the stop when the gauge needle is right at the (red) zone and fill the bike while on the jiffy stand and bring it just shy of the fill neck and the fuel reciept says 2.32 gal. On a 5.2 gal. tank could i have a faulty gauge? and it seems like i'm going thru the gas in this 99 tc.88 wg.
What gives?...maybe!

On my 11 Super Glide I had both the factory gauge and the one the electronic one in the speedo/tach combo.

The factory mech gauge would be hard past empty when the electronic was at 1/4. And when the electronic showed empty I never got more than 4.3 gallons into a 5 gallon tank.

They suck. That is all there is to it. Go by your odometer especially in town where stations are always pretty close.
