Sadly, I put my beloved FXR3 on Craig's List this morning. I bought this limited-edition beauty new, in 1999. It was the first of the factory customs (CVO's). Only were 900 made. I retired a couple of years ago and the nature of my riding has changed from around-town cruises to long tours. I tried a couple of simple mods ... high-flow air cleaner, clip on windshield, and removable leather bags. But this old body fades quickly after a 500-mile day on the FXR. I love the reliable Big Twin evo motor. And the bike was featured in several articles published in RIDER and RoadRunner. But the trusty, green-flamed FXR3 has to go to another good home.
