Lots of old threads on it, but rather than raising a thread from the dead, I figured there might be some folks here who have done conversions recently. If so, what were any tricks you learned? Any great seat-of-the-pants impressions afterward would be appreciated, too.

A specific question I do have: Given the 883's smaller port sizes, and its shorter gearing, how much quicker are conversions (given the general factor of a stage I kit in the 883 that is converted and any decent 1200) than factory 1200s?

I did the Hammer 1275 kit. They have awesome tech videos on every stage of the build. Tech support is awesome if you run into a snag they respond to emails almost immediately. That's where i would start.

I'm interested in anecdotal thoughts here. Did you just do the 1275, or did you do porting, cams, etc.?
