the avon tires on my streetglide seem to where down fast. What would be a good replacement?

Avons do seem to wear down faster then most. Softer compound = great traction = shorter life span.
As already said. Certain models of Dunlops, as well as Michelin, and Metzelers are well spoken of here.

Bike and style of riding will cause your mileage to vary.
I ran Avons once, they wore too quickly. I run Dunlops exclusively now and have gotten good service from them.

A friend just got Metzlers prior to a 6500 mile trip and is extremely pleased with those.
As already stated...my experiences with Avon's were they had great grip but just wore out to fast due to the softer compound. The Dunlop american elites seem to be a great tire. What I'm running. On my SG now
My original front Dunlop has 19,128 miles. Still good for another couple of 1000. Replaced the rear with a Michelin @ 15,500.
Welcome from Kansas
Let us know what you get and how they work out.

I run them all the time with great results...Good in the rain also...better prices than most brands. Ride safe.
