Hello everyone:

I finally got the rear seat that was promised me as part of my deal when I bought my XL883L.

I do have a question/ concern with it though....

Is it supposed to over lap the way it does, or did they get the wrong part and try to make it fit? I'm wondering, as they ordered the wrong part for the upright, and I had to wait an additional day to get the bike back.





Thanks everyone. I will be doing some digging and checking when I get back home. I'm currently out of town, awaiting my call to head back home, so there isn't much that I can do in a motel room 200 miles from home.

I did a little more looking after I posted. It appears that what I have isn't unusual, though there are seats out there that appear to be one piece and that don't overlap the way mine does....

I may end up swapping out both seats form something after market down the road. I'm not sure what I think of the over lapped look.
